Sea-Dek takes on a UK distributorship for dek-king
Following the announcement of a licence agreement last year (see below for details) Sea-Dek has taken on a UK distributorship for the DEK-KING range. With the confidence that the licence agreement brings, we are very excited to strengthen our presence in the UK as a leading distributor of their products.
Strong Sales at the london Boat Show 2012
We had a very encouraging London Boat Show where we met many new customers interested in Sea-Dek products and services, with the number of enquiries up by 50%. We are looking forward to continued success throughout 2012 and another strong show at the Southampton Show in September.
Wilks secure the future of dek-king
Our supplier, Wilks, are pleased to announce that following negotiations in regard to their Dek-King range an agreement has been reached with Flexiteek that ensures their E.U. patent remains upheld.
A joint press release communicated that:
“All doubt within the E.U. over the patent relating to PVC Decking and which products are protected by it has now been finalised. The patent is stronger than ever with the newly signed licensee agreement between Flexiteek and Wilks. This will give, in addition to Flexiteek and their private brands, the Dek-King product exclusive rights within the E.U. and non exclusive rights globally to sell under the Flexiteek patent”
Chris Berry, Joint Managing Director of Wilks, further added:
"This clears all uncertainty between Flexiteek and Wilks in respect of the E. U patent relating to PVC Decking. Looking to the future, Wilks looks forward to continuing to build on the established success of its Dek- King product and to expand further into the global market."

Although footfall was down at this years Southampton Boat Show we met many new customers interested in Sea-Dek products and services. We are looking forward to continued success throughout 2011 and another strong show at the London Boat Show in January.
